We check the pricing, and tell you when it does not add up

Who we are, why we check software pricing line by line, and how Tested AI stays independent of the vendors it covers.

What this site is

Tested AI covers AI and business software for small businesses: what the tools do, what they cost, and what has just changed. We read what vendors publish, check it against independent sources, and report what we find, including the places where those sources contradict each other.

We are not testing these tools in production, and we say so at the top of every review. If that is what you need, this is not the right site yet. What we do instead is get the numbers right, which sounds smaller than it is.

Why pricing is worth a whole site

Most published software pricing is wrong. It gets copied from a vendor page once and never rechecked, and vendors change plans constantly. In researching this site we found Canva has restructured team pricing more than once, Writesonic has repeatedly renamed its tiers, Close CRM tier names differ between every source we checked, and Synthesia is quoted anywhere between $18 and $29 for the same plan.

Most articles pick whichever number reads best and state it with total confidence. We publish the range, explain why it varies, and tell you to confirm directly. That is less satisfying to read and considerably more useful when you are about to spend money.

The full process, and its limits, is on the methodology page.

How we stay independent

No vendor has ever paid for a review, a score, a badge, or a position on a list, and no vendor ever will. We do not accept free accounts, sponsored posts, or “review in exchange for a licence” arrangements. We do not send drafts to vendors before publication.

We do earn affiliate commission on some outbound links, and we run display advertising. Neither one is connected to how anything is rated. Several tools rated well here have no affiliate program at all: Wave, CapCut, and Freshsales are recommended on their free tiers, which pay us nothing. Full detail is on the affiliate disclosure page.

When we get it wrong

Prices move and we will get some wrong. Every article carries the month its figures were verified, so you can see how stale it is before trusting it. If you find a number that does not match what a vendor charges today, tell us on the contact page and we will check it. Corrections are noted in the article rather than made quietly.

The people doing the research

Nizam Uddin

Founder and pricing researcher

Nizam started Tested AI after noticing how often published software prices are simply wrong. Most articles copy a vendor's pricing page once and never look again. He checks every figure against the vendor's own page, cross-references independent trackers, and states plainly when they disagree rather than picking whichever number reads best. He does not claim to have run these tools in production, and the reviews say so at the top of every page.

  • Checks every price against the vendor page
  • Reports source conflicts instead of hiding them
  • No vendor has paid for placement

Tashawar handles verification and editing. Every figure in a review is checked a second time before it goes out, and anything that cannot be traced to a vendor page or a documented source is either qualified or cut. Where pricing is genuinely unclear, as it is with Canva team plans or Close CRM tiers, the article says so and tells the reader to confirm directly instead of quoting a number with false confidence.

  • Second check on every published figure
  • Removes claims the sources do not support
  • Flags pricing that changes without notice

Tested AI is published from Pakistan and writes for a US audience, which is worth stating plainly rather than leaving you to guess. Prices are quoted in US dollars from US vendor pages. Publishing since 2026. Editorial questions go to hello@testedai.blog.
