What Business actually unlocks#
At $20 per member per month, Business includes the full Notion AI Agent: chat, document generation, database autofill, translation, and AI-generated meeting notes, plus enterprise search across the workspace. It also brings SAML SSO and private teamspaces, which matters for the buying decision: a team choosing Business is usually buying more than AI at the same time.

The one extra cost to know about: Agent credits#
Notion's newer Custom Agents feature, which lets a workspace build its own automated AI agent, runs on a separate credits system rather than being unlimited on Business. There is a free monthly allotment, and beyond that it costs $10 per 1,000 credits. For most day-to-day writing and search use this will not matter, but a team planning to lean heavily on Custom Agents should budget for it separately from the per-seat price.
Who this is not for#
If a business does not already use Notion for docs, wikis, or project tracking, buying it purely to get AI features is an expensive route to AI writing and search, especially compared to a dedicated writing tool at a similar or lower price. Notion AI is worth evaluating specifically for teams where the workspace decision and the AI decision are already the same decision.
